Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: Preview - Haas

MoneyGram Haas F1 Team enters the final grand prix of 2025 in eighth position in the Constructors' Championship, having amassed 73 points, already the second-highest season total in the team's history. Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman have combined to register 19 top 10 finishes across grands prix and sprints, peaking with Bearman's fourth position in Mexico City, which equalled the best classification for MoneyGram Haas F1 Team.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix joined the calendar in 2009, at the purpose-built Yas Marina Circuit constructed on the enormous man-made Yas Island, a leisure and entertainment complex a short distance from downtown Abu Dhabi. The venue has featured each season since and has long established itself as the location for the final round of the campaign, having been the curtain-closing event for every Formula 1 season since 2014.

Ocon has participated in seven grands prix at Yas Marina Circuit, taking a best of seventh in 2022, and it was also the circuit at which he made his grand prix weekend debut during Free Practice 1 in 2014. Bearman has participated in Formula 1 test sessions at Yas Marina, and has raced at the circuit in FIA Formula 2 and Formula Regional Asia.

MoneyGram Haas F1 Team Reserve Driver Ryo Hirakawa will participate in Free Practice 1, replacing Ocon for the 60-minute session. Ocon will return for Free Practice 2 onwards.

Ayao Komatsu, Team Principal: "We head to Abu Dhabi determined to have a strong finish to the season. It's good that we're straight back to racing after a tough weekend in Qatar. The track offers different challenges to the previous races in Las Vegas and Qatar. We had the potential to score last Sunday and our aim at Yas Marina this weekend is to get both drivers into the points and bolster our position in the Constructors' Championship - we just have to focus on what we can control and see what happens elsewhere. I know we'll be maximizing everything we can to end on a high. We're looking forward to the weekend."

Ollie Bearman: "We're arriving in Abu Dhabi for the final race of the season. We have one more opportunity, the target is very clear, and I'm looking forward to the challenge. I've done lots of laps around this circuit in testing and in FP1 before, so I know the track very well. I'm excited to come back as a full-time driver and see what we can achieve. I think the car can be quick, and I want to try and give us the best possible result at the final weekend with this car before we look towards 2026."

Esteban Ocon: "It's been a season of highs and lows, and this last race of the season in Abu Dhabi presents one last opportunity for us to get out there and maximize our package and aim for the best possible result. There is still much to fight for in the Constructors' Championship, so we'll be looking to finish this era of regulations on a high before turning our full focus to 2026."
