NEWS STORY
23/04/2026

The FIA has announced that the sole practice session in Miami will now run for ninety minutes.

As a result, the session will now run from 12:00 to 13:30 local time. All other track sessions planned before FP1 will also move forward by 30 minutes.

This decision has been taken in recognition of the gap since the last Grand Prix, the recently announced regulatory and technical adjustments, and the fact that as the Miami Grand Prix operates under the Sprint format which reduces the amount of practice time available over the course of the weekend.

"It has been announced the FIA is introducing Push-to-Pass in Formula Regional. They want to do away with driver skill in the very first step of the junior ladder! The rot is deep so excuse me if I consider them entirely incapable of ever addressing any issue ever again."

"LoL! Without safety cars in the main race this means that FP1 will be longer than the Sprint Race and possibly longer than the main GP! Good work FIA!"
